Italian great Andrea Pirlo says his former Juventus teammate Paul Pogba should follow in the footsteps of Ivory Coast star Yaya Toure.
Pirlo, who currently plies his trade in the MLS for New York City FC, was a teammate of the young Frenchman at Juve between 2012 and 2015
He believes that Pogba – regarded as a player who will dominate the game in the same way that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have in recent years – could learn from the example of the Elephants star.
“Maybe Toure is not as consistent as he once was, but can still dominate a game,” the 36-year-old told Shortlist while naming his Premier League XI.
“I told Paul [Pogba] that Yaya and Patrick Vieira are the two players he should try and replicate, and he can.”
